Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Honest Haul (operated by an independent developer) ("we") for the Honest Haul app. By using the app you accept them. If you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies.

1. What the app does

Honest Haul uses artificial intelligence to suggest what an item in your photo might be and to estimate a resale price range. Results are automated estimates.

2. Estimates are not appraisals

  • Estimates are not professional appraisals, authentications, grading or financial advice.
  • The app cannot verify that an item is authentic, genuine or original.
  • Prices are ranges based on photos and general market knowledge. Actual sale prices depend on condition, completeness, timing, platform and buyer demand, and may be far lower or higher.
  • Profit figures use simplified assumptions (about 13% platform fees, a per-order fee and estimated shipping) and do not include taxes or your time.
  • You are responsible for your buying and selling decisions. Verify important details yourself and consult a qualified appraiser for valuable items.

3. Free scans and subscriptions

  • New users get 3 free scans. Free scans are counted on our server per installation.
  • Honest Haul Pro is an auto-renewing subscription: weekly ($6.99) or yearly ($39.99, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers). Prices may vary by country and are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings, or via Settings → Manage subscription in the app. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current paid period stays active until it ends.
  • If you cancel during the free trial, you will not be charged.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use the app to break the law, infringe others' rights, scan images you have no right to use, or attempt to bypass usage limits, reverse engineer the service, or overload our servers.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos you submit. You give us a limited licence to process them only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Generated listings

Listing titles and descriptions are suggestions. Check them for accuracy and marketplace rules before posting. Don't claim authenticity you haven't verified.

7. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that results will be accurate, complete or available at all times.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from buying or selling decisions based on estimates. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer in the EU/UK.

9. Changes and termination

We may update the app and these terms. We'll notify you of material changes in the app. You can stop using the app at any time.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of residence, without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live.
