Estimate Disclaimer

Honest Haul gives AI-generated estimates, not professional appraisals.

What an estimate is

• A best-effort identification of the item in your photo.
• A resale price range (low, typical, high) in US dollars for the item as pictured, with a confidence level and the reasoning behind it.
• A rough profit calculation using simplified fee and shipping assumptions.

What an estimate is not

• It is not an appraisal, authentication, grading or certificate of any kind.
• It does not confirm that an item is genuine, original, or made by a particular maker.
• It is not financial or investment advice.

Why estimates can be wrong

• Photos can hide damage, repairs, missing parts, or the marks that identify an item.
• Similar-looking items, reproductions and fakes exist.
• Market prices change, and vary by platform, region and season.
• The AI can misidentify items, especially rare ones.

When confidence is low, the app tells you what to photograph or check next. For valuable items, consult a qualified appraiser or authentication service before buying or selling.
